Indications for Use

The DogLeggs' OrthoPlast Splinting Kit is intended for use with DogLeggs' Carpal Support or Tarsal Support when additional support is warranted.

Product Description

The DogLeggs Carpal and Tarsal Supports are designed to accept application of the OrthoPlast splint to the external surface of the support; allowing for versatility of placement and area of coverage.  This design allows for easy removal and reapplication of the splint in order to launder the support, if necessary. 

The kit includes VELCRO® Brand hook and loop straps to secure the splint to the support.  Additional straps are available if needed.

NOTE:  A veterinary prescription is required to order this product.

Specifications

OrthoPlast is a thermoplastic designed for use in splinting.  It comes in a hard flat sheet and when heated, becomes malleable and can be molded to create a custom splint that secures to the DogLeggs Carpal or Tarsal Support.  As the OrthoPlast cools, it hardens to provide rigid support.  It can be reheated and remolded as necessary to provide proper shape and fit.

Instructions for heating the OrthoPlast to prepare for molding are included.  DO NOT use a Microwave Oven to heat the OrthoPlast.
