Product Description

The DogLeggs’ VEST with Ehmer Sling is a superior alternative to traditional bandaging. The products are washable and can be reused for multiple patients. The DogLeggs’ VEST and Ehmer Sling eliminate the trauma to the skin caused by the bandage method. Rehabilitation therapy can be performed with ease throughout recovery. Patient comfort and recovery are significantly improved as compared to the bandage method. The DogLeggs’ VEST and Ehmer Sling are easy to apply and can be used for either hind limb. The Ehmer Sling is single piece construction that bifurcates. The hock is held securely at the apex of the sling while the two arms of the sling affix to the DogLeggs’ VEST via hook and loop fastening. Because the DogLeggs’ VEST is completely hook compatible, the sling’s arms can be attached anywhere to the DogLeggs’ VEST. This construction allows for a range of positioning options. It can maintain the pelvic limb in a flexed position with limb abduction and internal rotation, as is desired following reduction of craniodorsal coxofemoral luxations. DogLeggs’ VEST with Ehmer Sling is available by prescription only and ships directly to the veterinary professional only. Ehmer Slings are available in sizes ranging from XS to XXL and are matched according to the VEST size needed.
